Magazine Rotation Schedule

One perk of working at Genera Solutions is the magazine shipment we receive every Thursday morning. Since all of the magazines we take are complimentary, a Go-Gen request was submitted for a donation box.

We have been successfully implementing this idea for a few months.  This is completely voluntary, but recommended that a quarter is donated for every magazine you take. At the end of the second quarter, we will add up the donations, and give to a children's charity.

Genera would like to say a huge "thank you" to all of the employee's who donated in the first quarter. We were able to provide $225 to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.

When the magazine shipment arrives on Thursday’s, we are following a rotation schedule on which department will get first pick. This ensures fairness for every employee. You may choose up to 5 different titles, but please only take 1 copy per title. If copies are left over at the end of the week, you are welcome to more.

                     Schedule:
                                     5/14/2015 - AR and FAS
                                     5/21/2015 - Operations
                                     5/28/2015 - Setup
                                     6/4/2015 - Pub. Pay
                                     6/11/2015 - Incentives
                                     6/18/2015 - IT/OBA

After those dates, the rotation will begin again. Another blog post will be created as the time gets closer.

Reminders:

If someone besides Liz T. signs for the magazines, please ensure that the monthly titles displayed in our lobby are pulled first (before others begin taking magazines). Examples: Cosmo, Glamour, Allure, Redbook, GQ, Flex, Lucky, Shape, etc.

Please do not remove the monthly titles on the display case. Once the rotation has finished, the titles will come down, and employees will have the ability to take them home. They are to remain displayed on the case until that time.

The cookout planned last month (in conjunction with the “town hall” meeting) that was postponed, has now been rescheduled.
We will begin grilling and games (badminton and cornhole) at 11 AM, eat around noon, and have the “playoffs” at 12:30.
The location of the cookout is where we had the previous one last fall; the Patrick Park. It is located behind The Goddard School.

It is recommended that a quarter is donated for every magazine you take. At the end of the second quarter, we will count the donations and give to a local charity.

At the end of the first quarter, Genera Solutions proudly donated $225 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Thank you to everyone who selflessly and kindly donated.

Mother’s Day: Sunday, May 10th
Armed Forces Day: Saturday, May 16th
Memorial Day: Monday, 25th (office closed)

- Please remember to wash any company dishes that you use once finished – do not leave them in the sink.

Also remember to work as a team: if you see spills, messes, or anything out of in order around the office or breakrooms, please take a moment to clean, organize, etc.

Issues such as the ones listed above can be avoided if each of us take a moment and clean up after ourselves, ensure we haven't taken the last tea bag and not refilled the container, spilled food in the microwave or refrigerator, left the papertowel rolls empty, etc.

Let's all work together to keep our office looking great!

- Dusting is included in the janitorial services provided. However, the night crew is instructed not to dust desk tops that have items on them (i.e. paper, files, personal items sitting on desk, etc.).  For liability reasons, they will not dust when there are items on a desk that could be broken or damaged. Desktops are cleaned weekly, and our office is scheduled for Wednesday nights. Furthermore, the small recycling bins located at each cubicle and office are not emptied by the janitorial staff. You can empty your recycling bin in one of the large blue recycling bins located throughout the office that way for any recycling you want removed. All trash cans are and should be emptied on a nightly basis.

- Please do not grab magazines off of the display case. They are rotated every month; and once the rotation for that particular month is finished, they are placed back our for anyone to take home.

- Please check out the HR Sharepoint site and read the  new 2015 Genera Solutions Employee Guide. The link to view the document is on the left hand side of the HR homepage.

Sandi: Sandi is a terrific asset to Genera and she goes above and beyond in her job to help others resolve problems.  She currently is working closely with me and others at RS2 to research claim / payment problems for 2014Q2-Q3 that stem from the Banruptcy of SOURCE.  Many thanks to Sandi for all of her efforts.

Nataliya: The headaches are hopefully coming to an end with the CMG/CTC on-line statements :) At times it's not easy assisting someone with technical issues; however Thanks to Nataliya we are resolving the CTC/CMG issues promptly. Nataliya knowledge and detail to attention is valued and very appreciated..

Aruna: Aruna's professionalism and dedication made my part of AMI setup very smooth and helped the entire team to finish AMI setup on time.

Colleen: Colleen's patience, multitasking and the knowledge of the system helped our team to work very efficiently and finish  AMI setup tasks on time

Chris E.: Chris makes most of my days!  Seriously he is always ready and willing to do or assist on anything mentioned, and not only for me.  He is a HUGE asset to the IT Team.

Amy: Amy is always ready to adjust and work with all the challenges that are thrown her way. Her effort continues to help things run smoothly, and I really appreciate her support.
Uday: Uday's willingness to help out with anything  needed in work is very much appreciated. It takes dedication, and insight into the whole process, to contribute in so many aspects of a work.

Susan: One of my co-workers and I were having problems with retrieving reports from Edge.  We tried to call the Help Desk like we did in the past and they were no help.  So, I reached out to Susan.  As always, she comes through.  No matter what the problem is, she will find the right person to help us solve our issues.  Your company needs more people like Susan.  She makes your company looks good.

Anne: Her always positive attitude and friendly disposition. Very professional and enjoyable to work with.
